Dear Troubled Seeker

There are many times when you have felt frustrated in looking for something ...

Dear Sad Heart
Have you ever considered that there are more forms of amusements to be had today than ever before ...

the voice that calls

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10v27

Christ calling His people to salvation can be likened to a shepherd approaching the field where his sheep are kept, and calling out to them.

Those who are near the preaching of the gospel, and who respond immediately, can be compared to the sheep who are near the gate, whilst those who are far from God, in some way or other, are like the sheep in the far corner of the field. Yet, even those sheep in the far corner can hear the voice of the Shepherd.

Those who have relatives or friends who seem so far from ever being saved can take heart in the fact that the Shepherd’s voice reaches to the far corner. The hearing of the voice will do it. They will be drawn to repent of their sin and believe in the Saviour. If you are that sheep in that far corner, then hear His voice today. He knows His sheep and has come to call His sheep to Himself.

The sheep near the fence must not be forgotten. Although so near the gate, the approach is the same. You must also respond to His voice, in repentance and faith.

How authoritative and how tender the voice! This Shepherd is the shepherd of all shepherds. He is the good Shepherd, the chief Shepherd and the great Shepherd.

Few thoughts from
the Sunday evening message

Waiting on the Lord is not a sitting back waiting. It is rather, a leaning forward waiting.
Indeed, there is no waiting like this waiting. For this waiting is a waiting for the LORD of glory to come and save the soul. My dear friend, wait upon the LORD.
